Catherine Alma Reichert was born March 3, 1910 in Yonkers, New York.
Her nickname as a child was Kittens, which her mother adopted as her stage name when she was only four years old.
Her first role was in the 1914 silent film ‘The Sign of the Cross’ staring actress Lila Barclay.
Kittens had appeared in 30 films by the time she was nine years old.
Then her career as a child star effectively ended when her parents refused to move to California, where the film industry had shifted.
Kittens did however make one further film appearance in the 1926 W.C. Fields movie ‘So’s Your Old Man.’
Reichert died in Louisville, Kentucky January 11, 1990 at the age of 79.
